I lived in a small town called Childersburg in Alabama. Therefore, I completely understand how you felt in the south. Everyone kept calling me a Yankee. I’m from West Virginia. There are definite lines drawn in the south. Alabama was awful. Tennessee however, might have been worse. People used racial slurs in everyday conversations at work, at restaurants, and at convenient stores. It’s really unbelievable.
I would like to thank everyone who helped since hearing of Les’s passing. I am so amazed at all that NANA did for the family. I will always be grateful for every smile, hug and help that was bestowed to Grace and her family. Please continue the prayers. Taikuu.
